And so it begins…

While preparing for another stint in El Salvador – this time to work on the field research for my Master’s – I was asked whether I’d be writing a “blog”. To be honest, the idea hadn’t occurred to me before. But I think it has merit, so…welcome to my first foray into the world of blog!

The intention of the site is to share my thoughts and stories (with the one or two people who are interested…) and also to give myself another outlet for reflection. Because reflecting is important. The 69 days that I’m about to begin in El Salvador should be a good test run. And who knows – maybe the habit will stick.

I’ll do my best to update fairly regularly (though I’ll be somewhat dependent on the whims of uncertain internet connections) and to include the appropriate bits of wit and thoughtfulness and a healthy balance of fun and contemplation.

Thanks for tuning in!

It is sad. The hallways are more empty with your absense. At least we’ll always have Mount Forest.

Yay!! I found you! Now I can read what you’ve done in El Salvador, now that you’re back! OK, I’m old, right? Gimme a break! XXOO
